Our History
In May of 2001 Desert Christian Archers became a chapter of the Christian Bowhunters of America. Our first meetings were for the purpose of developing and organizing only. Our first real DCA meeting was held at Calvary Community Church with eleven people in attendance. Today we still meet at Calvary but our attendance has grown considerably. Annually DCA holds seminars by speakers such as Randy Ulmer, Corky Richardson, Marvin Robbins and others who are very knowledgable in their field. It is common for up to 100 or more to be at these seminars!
The Lord does His will when we allow Him to lead and that is what has happen with DCA.
The Desert Christian Archers encourages family envolvement and many meetings and seminars are attended by moms and the kids!
Mission Statement
DCA is a ministry to the bowhunting and archery world. Seeking to exalt and serve Jesus Christ by leading lost people to Him, and encouraging Christian growth!
Our Purpose
- To provide a united voice of Christian Bowhunters.
- To promote the biblical truth that God is the Creator and Saviour of the world.
- To bring an awareness of man's personal accountability to God.
- To challenge bowhunters to allow the Lordship of Christ to govern their individual lives.
- To provide helps and tools for sharing one's faith in Christ with others.
- To share the common joy and experience of bowhunting with other Christian bowhunters.
- To foster faith, fun and fellowship among bowhunters of America.
